Obtain a HANDICAP PARKING SPOT AT MY RESIDENCE?
A request must be submitted to the Village Clerk with proof of disability from a signed certified letter from a NYS certified physician. The request will be submitted to the village board for approval or disapproval depending on the circumstances.
If approved a NYSDOT regulation sign may be installed at the location.
Obtain a DOG LICENSE
Obtain dog licenses from the Town of Waterford Clerk's office
New York State law requires licenses for all dogs at least four months old. Proof of spaying/neutering and rabies immunization required. The license must be renewed each year on or before the date of the current license. The expiration date is in the top left corner of the license. If your dog is lost, stolen, or deceased, please notify the Town Clerk's office.
LAWN & LEAF Debris Pickup
Sea properties has started picking up lawn and leaf bags on Monday’s and Fridays. They will continue to do so for the month of April. Starting in May they will pick them up once a week on MONDAYS.
From May through October, properly prepared yard waste will be picked up by the village of Waterford.
Yard waste must be placed in reusable containers or biodegradable bags curbside, but not IN road and not so high or wide as to obstruct roadways or line of sight. Placing debris into the roadway constitutes a violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law as well as creates a hazardous situation for pedestrian, bicycle, and vehicular traffic. Please make sure that storm drainage inlets are also kept clean of leaves and branches to ensure proper drainage.
Acceptable items include leaves, grass and hedge clippings placed at curbside in reusable containers or biodegradable bags (not over 50 pounds per container) as well as brush and branches under 4 feet in length stacked neatly at curbside. No other items or materials are accepted and all non-conforming items will NOT be collected. No brush or trees from private contractors will be accepted.
Pickup is every Monday. Recyclable pickup is on Friday. Items included are paper products, plastics, glass and metal containers. Please NO batteries or Electronics.
